Top Plate Complete

I had a good bit of time to work this morning and I completed the top plate wiring. The next step is to get it affixed to the chassis.

Here’s how it looks right now.

This is ready to be permanently installed on the chassis.

Once in the chassis, all the chassis ground connections will be made to ensure proper safety. Then I’ll tie in the power transformer primary and indicator light. After that it’s just connecting the audio inputs, the speaker outputs, the primary filter choke, and the ground tie jumper.

Then I’ll clear off the desk and get ready to apply power to the chassis. With power applied I’ll do some initial checks and then reconfigure to determine the correct value for the final dropping resistor. I’m shooting for a 300V B+ in this build. I don’t think the dropping resistor will need to be very large at all. then comes final voltage checks and AC testing. This project is getting very close to completion.

As always, questions and comments are welcome.
