6L6 SE-UL Gets Its First Wires

I’m still waiting for the top plate paint to harden. But that didn’t keep me from getting some wiring done on the chassis today.

Since I had a little free time this afternoon, I decided to get some of the simple wiring on the chassis completed this afternoon. Here’s how it looks.

This is looking up from the bottom, of course. I’ve got the signal inputs wired into the volume control. The three wires are left signal, right signal, and common ground. These get connected right at the 6SL7 socket. On the other side I’ve wired up the power connector, fuse holder, and switch for the mains, and wired in the indicator control which connects to a terminal strip next to the main rectifier.

The next step is to mount all the major components on the top plate. So that really does have to wait a few days. I want to get going on that on Monday (paint status permitting).

As always, questions and comments are welcome.
